We run a hybrid engine — CSI MasterFormat division mapping combined with trade-specific keyword matching. High-confidence sections are auto-assigned. Low-confidence sections are sent to our AI classifier and flagged for review. Overall accuracy is 94%+ on standard commercial specs.

What we collect

Your email address (used to create your account), the spec PDF files you upload, and the analysis results generated from those files.

How we use it

Your uploaded specs are processed by Anthropic's Claude AI to generate trade-specific bid intelligence. We do not use your spec content to train AI models. Analysis results are stored so you can access them later.

Third parties

Anthropic — processes your spec text via their API to generate analysis. Supabase — stores your account, projects, and uploaded files. Vercel — hosts the application. None of these parties sell your data.

Data retention

Your files and analysis results are stored until you delete the project or request account deletion. To delete your account and all associated data, email eliasvancuren55@gmail.com.

Security

Files are stored in Supabase with row-level security — only your account can access your projects. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.

Analysis results are generated by AI and may contain errors, omissions, or misinterpretations. You are responsible for independently verifying any risk flags, scope items, submittal requirements, or RFIs before submitting a bid. SpecScope AI is not liable for bid errors, scope gaps, or contract disputes arising from AI-generated analysis.

Acceptable use

You may use SpecScope AI for lawful construction bid preparation. You may not use it to process documents you don't have authorization to analyze, attempt to reverse engineer the platform, or resell access to other parties.

Your content

You own the spec files you upload. By uploading them, you grant SpecScope AI the right to process them for the purpose of generating your analysis. We do not claim ownership of your documents.

Limitation of liability

SpecScope AI is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including lost bids or contract disputes.

Account termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for misuse or abuse of the platform. You may cancel your account at any time by emailing eliasvancuren55@gmail.com.
